The knee gaurds were constructed by forming the basic shape out of a triple layer of duct tape. The tape form was covered
with a half-inch thick layer of celluclay and draped over a curved surface (in this situation, my flute case) so the pieces
would fit my knees. The gem bases were created in the same fashion as the ones on the shoulder pauldrons. The poleyns attach
with two thin strands of elastic at the back of the knee.

The piece on the side of the poleyn was made out of Sculpey. It is attached to the poleyn with a thick-gague wire inserted
into a three-inch deep drilled hole, and is secured with hot glue.
